Hi my name is Ben.

Welcome to video number 5 Missing family, making friends, and support workers.

In this video we will talk about things you can do to settle into your new house.

If you have moved out already some things might be exciting.

Some things might be scary. Maybe you miss your family and your pet.

Make time to see your family. You can have them over for dinner. You might want to make new friends.

There might be groups in your area that you can join, like at the community centre.

Now that you have moved you might have more support workers than you did before.

You might have support workers staying overnight. You could also have new support workers.

You can help support workers get to know you by by making a short video about yourself.

You can write a short profile about yourself.

You can share your likes and your dislikes and explain your needs and wants.

It can be great to have more support to do things you want.

It might also feel overwhelming. Let your support workers know if you are feeling overwhelmed.

Thanks for tuning in.
